Eyebrow, Eyeliner, and Lip Micropigmentation have additional special
requirements before procedures can be preformed.

Please review these requirements here below:

Eyebrows Micropigmentation:
-
Avoid tanning (sun, self-tanners, and tanning beds) for a minimum of 28 days before your appointment. Tanning masks your skin’s undertones. Your undertones are important to see clearly for colour selection. Failure to properly see and assess undertones can cause unwanted colour changes upon healing. There is also higher risk with tanned skin to hyper-pigment. Hyper-pigmentation is the body increasing melanin production which will create unwanted dark spots.

Eyeliner Micropigmentation:
-
Remove all eyelash extensions prior to your appointment or contact us upon booking to allot extra time for removal prior to your eye service. A $25 fee will apply for eyelash extension removals.
-
Discontinue use of lash growth serums a minimum of 16 weeks prior to your appointment. Lash growth serums can cause increase capillary formation which can lead to unwanted pigment migration during or after the procedure. Plan to avoid lash growth serums until AFTER the secondary appointment healing period.

-
If you are currently on glaucoma medications, suffer from Sjögren's Syndrome or have had a blepharoplasty within the last 6 months you may not be a suitable candidate for eyeliner services. Please book a consultation if you have questions.

-
Shadow Eyeliner and occasionally Classic Eyeliner is contraindicated in eyelids with a high number of visible capillaries and/or thin eyelids.

Lip Micropigmentation:

-
If you have a history of cold sores or fever blisters (herpes simplex), even once or if you are unsure you MUST get a prophylactic antiviral prior to your procedure and touch up appointments. Lip services cause trauma to the lip tissue which can trigger an outbreak. The prophylactic anti-viral does not guarantee that you will not have an outbreak but will reduce the chances of an outbreak. Outbreaks can disrupt the healing process, make you miserable, and cause undesirable results, pigment migration, or colour inconsistencies.

-
If you do not have a history of cold sores, please obtain a prescription written to fill in case you do have an outbreak. Please bring proof of your prescription to your appointment. Your appointment may be cancelled if you fail to bring proof of prescription.
-
Lip micropigmentation cannot be performed on Fitzpatrick skin types 5 or 6. Fitzpatrick skin types 5 and 6 are the darkest skin types. There is a high risk with these skin types for the lip tissue to hyper-pigment. Hyper-pigmentation is the body increasing melanin production. This will cause permanent dark spots that will never fade or go away. If you are unsure of your skin-type, please contact us and we can tell you what Fitzpatrick skin type you are.

Corrective, Cover-up or "Other" Work:

-
Consultations are mandatory for corrective, cover-up, and other requested work prior to a procedure being booked.
